Brian Mahoney, co-founded Percept Research with Daniel Mosrie in 2003 -- the firm is celebrating its ten-year anniversary this year. Brian leads the client services and consultant teams as Head of Client Services.
An established entrepreneur and marketing consultant prior to founding Percept Research, Brian has advised law firms, healthcare and service companies, universities, and nonprofit organizations on the implications of emerging market trends and how to take advantage of them.
Mr. Mahoney has more than 17 years of experience in management consulting and marketing research. In his consulting role with Percept Research, he provides guidance on research design, data analysis, and brand positioning for firm’s clients.
Through his spearheading efforts and fervor for quality and client satisfaction, the Percept Research brand is highly respected by top corporate and academic institutions around the world.
Brian’s philosophy as Managing Partner for the firm is to offer robust market intelligence and data-driven insights in the easily understandable format at an affordable cost. He feels strongly that forward-focused organizations should empower themselves with market knowledge to leverage their income-building potential, whether the goal is to retain current customers, grow an existing business, or create a new revenue stream.
Brian previously served as a board member of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics Alumni Association and as a member of the NCSSM Foundation Board as well as the association’s President. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Triangle American Marketing Association.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University and served as a commissioned officer in the US Navy for ten years. In his limited free time, Brian enjoys spending time with his goddaughter, Maggie. He is also an avid basketball player and enjoys cheering on the Blue Devils during March Madness.
